Thank you to everyone who has entered this years Tour Of The Worthys this Sunday. Below is the final instructions for the event.
The Days Running time table:
Start & HQ:
Alresford Rugby Club
3 Park Mount
The car parks will open at 8.am. There are spaces for about 90 cars on site with extra parking at Perins School, you will be directed to the extra parking once the Rugby club is full.
When you arrive all riders will need to read the T&C’s and then sign in at the desk. It is very important that you also sign back in and hand in your number after your ride.
We would like all riders away on time, so that there is a space between the rider groups. All the routes are sign posted with the split for the shorter route at about 26 miles, The longer route has a water stop (with some well earned cakes) at 29 miles.
There is no water stop on the shorter route. All marshals will have a track pump with them and if you get into trouble wait until a back marker or motor bike gets to you.
Please also follow the rules of the road and don’t ride in big groups, most of the route is country lanes so be aware of gravel on corners and traffic coming the other way.
The start times are as follows:
At the start and finish area there will be Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks and Cake to buy, also extra tubes, tyres, gels and a few other bits and pieces you might need on the day.
There will be a rider briefing before each start and we will be setting you off in groups to spread you out a bit on the Road, There will be motor bikes and back markers on each distance
